How ya doing?

Great, ta!

How would you best describe your work and creative practice?

My work is about empowering people to use their voices in a way that feels easy, expressive and fun. It's curious exploration of how the body, breath and voice come together to help you communicate in a way that really makes people feel something when you speak. Ultimately, I'm about empowering people to love and use the voice they have in the the best way possible, whatever the environment.

How have you navigated career turning points? Like the transition from musical theatre to voiceover and then coaching (not to mention several podcasts and a book), as your career has progressed?

By trusting my gut, and knowing that it's taking me in the right direction. Usually, it's right. It's about patience, an incessant desire to keep learning and becoming very efficient with my time! Plus staying hydrated...

Let's talk about your coaching, is there a common point or step when you notice someone 'gets it' and what is that stage? Or is totally different for each person.

It's totally different from person to person. Often there's an audible "oooh" from the client when something clicks - which is exciting. I can hear the changes, and see the changes, but they need to feel it. When they can feel it, I know we're on the right track.

You've worked with some incredible people! Give us a career highlight you'd love to go back and experience again?

Ooh, I mean, finishing my book, On The Mic, was an epic milestone that I'd love to revisit...without having to write another book! Nothing can describe the feeling of getting to the point of "The End".
